Vision 2008 Gets a Glimpse at IDT’s N-Series

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Integrated Design Tools, Inc. (IDT) bolstered its international presence, appearing at the 2008 Vision Show in Stuttgart, Germany, Nov. 4 – 6, 2008. The event is often utilized as a venue for new technology premiers, making it the perfect opportunity for IDT to share its new N-Series camera platform with more than 6,000 expo goers.
In the spotlight was IDT’s new N-3 and N-5, which CEO of IDT, Dr. Luiz Lourenco, says bring together the right combination of mass, precision and resilience. A unique package for the versatile N-series offers a single-connection interface aimed at the automotive safety market, and continues to be well received. Based on the modular architecture and performance of the N-series, orders have already been placed by leading German automotive manufacturing companies.
“While the single-connector camera interface requires a specially designed cable,” said Lourenco. “It is easily used in standard configurations thanks to the compact signal interface box provided. N-Series is both self-contained and versatile, making it a solution for many industries.”
A seven-camera hub/synchronization unit is also offered for ease of use in automotive test facilities. The N-3 is capable of acquiring 2,000 FPS, with a resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 pixels, while the N-5 delivers 1,000 FPS in a 4 million-pixel image format. Both models share the same platform and are capable of autonomous operation.
Providing a refined exhibit space at the expo paid off, according to Lourenco. He said IDT’s modern, polished booth atmosphere created a relaxing presence in which the company could demonstrate both the N-3 and N-5.
“The premier of our dramatic short film, in collaboration with H-Bomb of Los Angeles, made IDT stand out amid approximately 300 exhibitors from 30 countries,” said Rick Sutherland, US Sales Manager.
