TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Professionals using high-speed imaging technology meet inconveniences and limitations when recording longer-than-average footage. A solution is now available to fix just that. This week, Integrated Design Tools, Inc. (IDT) introduced the Taurus Platform, long-recording technology compatible with the company’s compact M-Series cameras, allowing one to 10 minutes of record time on a single system.
“We are always developing solution-based technology, and this is a complete solution,” said Dr. Luiz Lourenco, CEO of IDT. “We have created that happy medium of record time.”
When recording long footage, users are often forced to use a disk array, which can become expensive and complicated. Fully configured for turn-key operation, the Taurus Platform’s compact server writes to one card and uses Motion Studio software. Powered by the Quad Core Dual Xeon Platform, it is especially designed for long, slow-motion recordings and includes the M-Series camera. Practical applications of the Taurus Platform include lab use, production time analysis and optical tracking mounts.
