Mastering Time

Y Series - MotionPro

“State of the art” CMOS sensors combined with the most advanced designs to meet the most demanding applications resulted in our Y-series.

WiFi via iPhone

The Pixel-Pipeline Operating System in the Y series cameras provides optimal image quality regardless of frame rate and exposure. Image settings such as Contrast/Brightness/Sharpening are also controlled and set in the camera OS. Another key benefit of the Pixel-Pipeline is the independent output and control of the image via an HDMI port supporting both 720p and 1080p formats and 30 Hz refresh rate.

Large, 16 GB, internal RAM memory accommodates long recording times, while three independent user interfaces accommodate easy communication with the camera: Standard USB-2 and Giga Ethernet and the optional WiFi interface that uses the Apple iPhone or Ipod touch.

In spite of its performance and processing power the camera benefits from a compact design thanks to the efficient cooling and it capable of withstanding 100G shock and 40G vibration loads. An optional battery pack is incorporated into the power supply to offer backup of the images in case of a power surge but also autonomous use up to 2 hours. GPS time code is optional on all models.

The Y3S captures 6,000 images per second with a resolution of 1260x1000 pixels. Frame rates up to 350,000 fps are possible at a lower resolution.

The Y4 captures 1024x1024 pixel images with a speed of 5,000 fps (10,000 fps in Plus Mode). In reduced resolution mode -1024x16 pixels- the frame rate is in excess of 290,000 fps.

The Y5 captures 2560x1920 pixel images with a speed of 625 fps (1,200 fps in Plus Mode). In reduced resolution mode - 2560x16 pixels - the frame rate is 60,000 fps. Full HD is available at 1000 fps @ 2560x1080.

The Y6 captures 1,200 images per second with a resolution of 1508x1128 pixels and high dynamic range - 12 bit. The windowing feature allows for higher frame rates.
