The Taurus platform is a compact server powered by Quad Core Dual Xeon platform especially designed for long slow motion recordings. The system is fully configured for turn-key operation and includes the camera.
The compact 2RU chassis is designed for standard 19-inch rack mounting and has a depth of 25.6 inches (651 mm). The Taurus platform includes the necessary camera link interface for the M-Series cameras as well as a state of the art solid-state memory to achieve several minutes of recording at the maximum frame rate and resolution.

2: Standard160 GB solid state memory array may be formatted for high-speed use to allow continuous 66 seconds of recording of digital images at a rate of 500 fps with a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels or 170 fps with a resolution of 2,352x1,728 pixels. Formatting for maximum capacity yields 264 seconds of continuous recording at 250 fps with a resolution of 1280x1024 pixels.
Other memory configurations include 320 GB (132 seconds recording in high-speed mode and 528 seconds in high capacity mode) and 640 GB (264 seconds recording in high-speed mode and 1056 seconds in high capacity mode)
3: The system maybe configured with 4x1 Terabyte Hard Disk Drives for maximum capacity, or 4x Solid State Drives (up 128 GB per drive) for improved resistance to shock and vibration.
