M Series - MotionScope

Understanding the marketplace for sustained high speed faces specific challenges, IDT developed its M-Series targeting the requirements of the most common existing users, while also providing the latitude to accommodate the unbridled imagination of future users. To accomplish this, the existing sensors were placed in the smallest bodies to enhance maneuverability to refine the images sent to the off-camera data bank.

Although alone the M-Series is comprised of the most compact of IDT's cameras, to take full advantage of their capabilities IDT recommends connecting them to the Taurus platform, which, fully assembled, will require more space than cameras with internal memory (the dimensions of Taurus are 88x483x651mm—i.e., 3.5x19x25.6in—with a weight of 17.23kg—48lbs). Together, the resulting system gives the power of uninterrupted high speed recordings for minutes rather than seconds. Such can be integral in studies of continuous functions, such as the observation of parachute deployment or automated scanning tasks.

M-Series cameras are also distinct in their ability to record split screen, effectively completing the job of two half resolution cameras simultaneously without the necessity to purchase or make room for additional cameras. Despite these differences, the M-Series shares certain traits with all IDT offerings, such as its full compatibility with IDT's Motion Studio software, allowing end users to mix and match their cameras according to their needs or to upgrade without worry. The cameras also resist shock up to 100G in all axes, making them ready for the unexpected, and the 1µs exposure time possible means that blur won't ruin an image. Two models make up the M-Series, each with a separate sensor manufactured by IDT.

M3 provides for those who need higher speed recordings.

M5 provides for those who need higher resolution images.
